In the months of July and August 2008, the Center sponsored four institutes focused on race and prisoner reintegration, African American children's mental health, race and youth violence and race and kinship care. The institutes examined explanations, consequences, model programs, and new policy and program options. These institutes were generously funded by The Pittsburgh Foundation.
