Center on Race and Social Problems

Speaker Series

The CRSP Speaker Series talks provide an opportunity for faculty, students, and community members to engage in race-related discussions of mutual interest.

Where many other similar institutions might have shied away from the highly-charged topics with which we engage, Reed Smith LLP and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC have sponsored the speaker series since September 2004, making possible over 100 lectures on race and social problems. We thank these firms for recognizing the importance of race in our society, the necessity of developing real-world solutions to our country's defining social problem and the value of sharing knowledge and engaging in dialogue on the issues before us.

Lunch is provided; registration is not required.

All lectures are from 12 noon to 1:30 pm in the School of Social Work Conference Center: Room 2017 of the Cathedral of Learning; 4200 Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh.

Please contact Center Administrative Assistant (412-624-7382) with any questions.
