Elizabeth Hickton

Personal Biography

Elizabeth (Reiter) Hickton, LSW, is a licensed social worker and clinical manager with nearly two decades of experience in child welfare. She is currently the Clinical Manager at Allegheny County’s CYF Central Regional Office, supervising 5–10 supervisors/units and covering 500-700 youth at a time. Liz is known for her trauma informed, data-driven leadership style and commitment to systems change from within. She has led agencywide initiatives in quality improvement, staff retention, and leadership development, and has served as a mentor, coach, and facilitator for multiple leadership programs. Her work has influenced statewide best practices, including a family finding report adopted by the PA Supreme Court. Liz obtained her MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and additional certifications from institutions such as Cornell University and the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute. Passionate about equity, teaching, and purposeful leadership, she is dedicated to building a compassionate and effective child welfare workforce.
