Pranav Balani serves as a Project & Research Assistant at the Center on Race and Social Problems (CRSP). In this role, he supports the center’s research agenda by conducting comprehensive literature reviews, synthesizing complex qualitative data, and assisting in the preparation of academic manuscripts and reports. His work focuses on generating publication-ready insights that advance interdisciplinary discussions on racial and health equity, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable social research. Currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration and Business Analytics at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, Pranav applies analytical rigor to solve complex social challenges.
Prior to joining CRSP, Pranav spent nearly six years in the corporate sector, gaining diverse experience across four years in EdTech, one year in advertising, and one year in e-commerce and startups. His functional expertise spans marketing, sales, operations, and people management, with a strong foundation in P&L management and analytics. During his tenure as an Area Business Head at BYJU’S, Pranav managed the financial performance of large-scale offline centers and led a 50-member cross-functional team. He has a proven track record of driving new business initiatives, such as launching AI/AR solutions and B2B partnerships and utilizing data-driven strategies to optimize revenue and operational efficiency.
Pranav combines this strategic business acumen with a deep commitment to social impact. He has previously spearheaded educational initiatives for underprivileged students through the Education for All initiative and led community campaigns for environmental awareness and health equity.
