bell hooks

bell hooks was an American author and social activist who made significant contributions to feminist theory by focusing on the intersections between race, gender, and class (intersectionality). She argued that feminist movements must take into account the unique experiences of all women, specifically the experiences of Black, poor, and other marginalized identities. Throughout her lifetime, hooks published over forty books and articles that allow for a critical examination of feminist consciousness and systemic oppression.
